Agreement and scope
These terms govern Continued Education and its ECG uploads, papers, discussions, profiles, notifications and Collaborative Studies calendar. Read them with the Privacy Policy, Educational & Independence Disclaimer, Patient Confidentiality Guidelines and Content & Copyright Policy. Registration and testing-code entry require an affirmative acknowledgment. If you do not accept, do not register or use the interactive features. Use is intended for adults aged 18 or older interested in professional education.
Access, profiles and testing codes
Provide accurate profile details and use a name that does not impersonate another person. Standard memberships are subject to administrator approval. During temporary shared-code testing, a Viewer code permits Member participation and an Administrator code grants administrative powers. Shared codes do not verify identity, credentials, professional registration or entitlement to view patient information. Keep codes confidential and share administrator codes only with authorized testers. Each browser can have a separate testing profile; clearing browser data may prevent access to its saved items. The operator can change or revoke codes and restrict access.
Acceptable use
Use the site lawfully and respectfully. Do not upload identifiable patient information, confidential clinical or employer records, malicious files, unlawful material or material you are not authorized to share. Do not harass, discriminate, threaten, impersonate, attempt to re-identify a patient, bypass access controls, scrape member details, redistribute another person’s contributions without authority, or use the site for unsolicited advertising. Do not enter credentials or access codes into a comment, paper, case or discussion.
Clinical and educational boundaries
The site is independent, free and for education only. It supplies no certification, accreditation, clinical authorization or guaranteed result. It does not replace training, medical direction, protocols, procedures, guidelines, employer requirements or scope of practice. Content is not individual medical advice. Your contributions and permissions
You retain ownership of your original contributions. You grant the operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, host, display, technically reproduce, back up and reasonably format or moderate those contributions as needed to operate and secure this community. This permission does not give the operator ownership of your work or authorize unrelated sale or advertising use. You must have the necessary rights and lawful authority before sharing. Uploading material cannot grant rights you do not possess. Removal ends ongoing display, subject to reasonable technical deletion, provider backups, lawful retention and copies already made by others.
Moderation, suspension and removal
Administrators may review ECG submissions, approve or deny publication, remove attachments, cases, papers or comments, manage sessions and polls, and approve, deny, suspend, ban or remove profiles. They may act on suspected privacy, copyright, safety or conduct concerns without advance notice where reasonably needed. Papers and comments may appear without prior review; no continuous monitoring is promised. Moderator decisions do not certify accuracy or compliance. Use the reporting form for errors, confidentiality concerns or review of a moderation decision.
External sources and meetings
Links, uploaded papers, opinions, meeting organizers and third-party services remain the responsibility of their respective providers or authors. The operator does not warrant their content, availability, security or privacy practices. A calendar listing does not authorize patient access, facility attendance or clinical practice; obtain the organizer’s and institution’s approvals separately.
Availability, warranties and liability
The service is offered as available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator makes no warranty that content is accurate, complete, current, suitable for a particular purpose or continuously available, and disclaims liability for losses arising from reliance on educational content or service interruption. These limits apply only as far as the law permits. Nothing excludes non-excludable liability, mandatory legal protections, patient rights, or the operator’s privacy and other statutory obligations. These terms do not excuse a participant’s own unlawful conduct.
Changes and applicable law
The operator may update these terms as the platform develops. The effective date identifies the version, and material changes will be announced on the site or presented for renewed acknowledgment as appropriate. British Columbia and applicable Canadian law govern, subject to mandatory protections and competent forums that cannot lawfully be displaced. A provision found unenforceable does not automatically invalidate the remaining provisions.
Questions, complaints and rights
Contact the operator through the Privacy & Legal Contact form. Do not include a patient’s identity, a clinical record, passwords or access codes in a report. Describe the concern and identify the page or post using its link or title. Legal notices do not remove any right to complain to a regulator or obtain independent advice.
