Share only material you may lawfully share
A medical purpose, free access or possession of a PDF does not automatically permit uploading it. Do not bypass paywalls, licence terms or access restrictions. Prefer a link to the publisher or a lawful open-access copy when redistribution rights are unclear. Check the actual licence: an open-access label alone does not explain every reuse condition. Respect authors’ attribution requirements and other applicable rights.
ECGs, images and employer documents
You need both authority to share and safe anonymization. Do not upload clinical charts, ePCRs, dispatch records, internal protocols, employer screenshots or third-party teaching material merely because you can access them. Ownership and confidentiality are separate issues: removing identifiers does not necessarily give you copyright permission, and copyright permission does not authorize patient disclosure.
Accuracy, corrections and clinical concerns
Provide citations where practical and distinguish a source’s findings from your interpretation. Note corrections, uncertainty and conflicting evidence. Send concerns about errors or unsafe content through the reporting form. Discussion and administrator review do not validate a paper, diagnosis, interpretation or treatment.
Making a report
Use the Privacy & Legal Contact form to identify the affected page or post, describe the issue and provide a reply email. For a copyright concern, identify the work, explain your relationship to the rights holder, and state the basis of the concern without sending unnecessary private documents. For confidentiality concerns, do not reproduce identifiers. The operator may request proportionate follow-up information before taking a decision.
Review and action
Administrators review reports and may restrict content while assessing a concern, request clarification, remove material, correct it, or restrict access as appropriate. A report is not a guarantee of an outcome or immediate action. Please report in good faith; do not submit knowingly false allegations. The operator may retain a limited record to handle a report, review a decision, meet legal obligations or resolve a dispute.
Copies outside the site
Removing a post or attachment removes it from normal site access, but cannot recall downloads, screenshots, copied discussion, cached material, messages or future emails already received. Provider logs or backups may persist under their own retention practices. Do not upload material on the assumption that it can later be completely recalled.
